Deflector for 48" brush-cutter - 7/5/2007 - Hits: 175
A simple, cheap addition that improves the safety of this dangerous implement.  My total expense was in the 5/16" bolts, nylock lock nuts and fender washers I used.  The bracket is made from a 48" length of an old bed-frame rail (i.e. light angle iron) and the deflector is 6" wide woven conveyor belting.  The tire tread from a semi-truck that you see lying beside the highway (also free for the taking) would be even tougher.
