I can not seem to locate the photos you uploaded.  I checked the PHOTO GALLERIES  - no luck?

We just got our PT180 about two months back and love it.

I would like to add the grapple attachement to our bucket also.

thanks

I found the photos.  Thanks.  That is a very nice looking mini hoe.  Have you posted your method of building it.

I noticed Wolverine on the side of the boom.  Does it come as a kit?

Thanks for the compliment

I designed and built the 1st.  minihoe almost 2 years ago, I made a few changes to it within that time frame. I repositioned the curl cylinder brackets and added hose hoops to the attachment plate.

So far I am very pleased with it's capabilities. I can flat bottom a trench at about 48" ( hence the name wolverine MH 48 ). My son came up with the name.

Thanks for the welcome.

We love the PT 180, excellent machine.

I am working on a mini back hoe for it.  Got a 9 inch bucket from Ebay and  ordered the Towing Attachment from

PowerTrac.  Should be able to get steel tubing that will fit the receiver socket on the Towing Attachment and that will be the boom for the min hoe.  The towing attachment provides an easy solution for mating the mini hoe boom to the quick attach plate.

For those who have done their own mini hoe already, how do you do the hydraulic part.  I suppose a seperate valve is need to

control a cylinder for the mini hoe.  Any direction would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi PTX,

Sounds like you are thinking along the same lines as I did starting out. Maybe you saw some of my attachments in the Photo Gallery. If you go to (Frequently asked Questions). I replied to one of your posts about the mini hoe. I sent you a few links that might be helpful.

I started out with the same idea mating hitch tubing to a hitch and it will turn out to be very useful for many attachments I have in mind. I have decided it may be to light duty for a real mini hoe. If you need a link for 4x4 tubing let me know. I have started putting together materials for my mini hoe also.

Beechwood knows the specifics in building one. I plan to just make a straight shaft Mini like the one power trac supplies. Yes you will need a new set of valves with three spools versas the two spools we already have. Let us know your progress, you may beat me to building yours.

Not to many of us 180 owners out there refreshing to see a new guy. Like you said the 180 is a really nice machine. The only thing would be the lack of a Mini Hoe other than that from reading posts over the years, and seeing pictures of the 422, 425. I feel it will do just about anything its bigger brothers will do maybe just a little slower. Good luck.
