Welcome to My Power Trac

Welcome to My Power Trac -- a new site dedicated specifically to PowerTrac tractors, their implements and their owners. Power Tracs are unique machines which are sold and supported directly by the the factory in Tazewell, Virginia. They combine the maneuverability of a lightweight 4-wheel drive articulated loader with the versatility of dozens of attachments for landscaping, light construction, and other uses. They make ideal "power tools" for the small property owner.

Power Tracs compare to compact utility tractors, or CUTS -- such as those sold by Kubota, John Deere, or Cub Cadet -- much the same as a zero-turning-radius (ZTR) lawnmower compares to a traditional lawn tractor. They are more nimble and much faster to do the same job. Yet, with dozens of attachments, the PowerTrac tractors are more versatile than any other machine in their class.
There is no dealership network for Power Trac tractors. Consequently, the Power Trac owner must usually either find a local source(s) for service and repair, or they must perform some of those tasks for themselves. In addition to providing operating tips, this website is dedicated to bringing together those owners who use and maintain their own equipment, and to help share their knowledge and experience. If that sounds like you, please join us!
Use the Site Navigation controls near the top left to explore the site. New sections will continue to be added, as the content grows and is added. Meanwhile, explore these sections:
- Forums
Discussion forums where owners can post their questions and discuss their experiences. There are several forums in different categories, all specifically for Power Tracs, that will make the relevant information easier to find. See the topics in the Announcements Forum at the top for more information.
- Documents
A repository for documents that can be viewed and downloaded. It is visible and accessible only by registered users. It contains numerous PDF files on hydraulics to download, in addition to links to the downloads for the applicable Kohler and Robins engine manuals.
- Photo Galleries
We love pictures -- especially PT pictures. We've made it easy for owners to post their pictures here (in addition to the forums above), so that they're readily visible. For example, the software automatically resizes and compresses the pictures while maintaining them in several sizes for ready use. We've preloaded quite a few pictures in different galleries and different categories, just to demonstrate the value of information being organized, categorized and easy to find.
- Links
A catalog of links of particular interest to Power Trac owners, separated into categories for easy reference. Additionally, we've provided Quick Links on the left margin for ease in navigating between sites.
- Comparisons
Tables of data making it easy to compare the different Power Trac models, plus easy navigation to the specific Power Trac product pages.
- Why a PT-425?
An owner's story of why he bought a Power Trac, with dozens of pictures of how he has used it and the projects he has completed. It clearly illustrates the versatility of the Power Trac and the amount of work that it can do.
- PT Info & FAQs
We're currently testing the capability for user-contributed articles, FAQs, reviews, etc to be directly submitted, then edited/formatted as necessary, then made publicly visible. This information can be arranged in virtually whatever heirarchy or structure we'd like to make it most user-friendly. Registered users can then rate and directly comment on each article (FAQ, review, etc.). We're looking for other PT users to contribute information -- please register and let us know if you'd be interesting in contributing!
